The New Floor Is In!

The hardwood flooring folks came this morning and by noon we had a new floor! Here are our before, during and after photos:

New Zealand!

We think we have recovered from our trip to New Zealand - although we are not sure that we will ever recover! It was so nice to have a break. We, of course, had a great time - here are some pictures of our adventures!

Kitchen Renovation

Call us crazy (many do), but we have decided to tackle our out-of-date kitchen before little E arrives. The cabinets and countertops have been ordered, and we are finishing up getting our contractors in order for the big remodel. Our new hardwood floor will be installed on Friday, May 25th, the cabinets are set for installation the week of June 18-22, and the countertops will go in right after! That gives us a few weeks to get things moved in and settled before the bundle arrives.

Dugald has been removing the old flooring (6 layers), so that our new hardwood floors can be installed. Don't you love the retro red and "green" flooring - what were they thinking?
